Fake life

Most people are living a fake life on social media and amongst their peers. Other people are forced into the life of luxury which makes them go beyond their means in quest to suppress the pressure from social media and follow the trends. This makes them go out of their means and their ways to live lives they normally cannot afford. Read the poem below (Language- pidgin).

I take God beg you 

please (no judge me)

if I beg you money you go gree give me

I dor dress fine now you nor wan leave me

man like beta tin, if I wear dirty you go gree see me?

make I wear beta tin make man face my side, for dis life I dor tire to dey hide.

how I wan take turn up wen my hair scatter one one

life of the party no get IPhone 13

money stop nonsense but dem nor dey pluck am from tree

money na defense, nor be who get am go fit buy benz?

as silver spoon no follow me come, I dor turn welder, pass me gum and steel

cos e better pass say I thief.

make my life no bite you because money nor full my body.
